In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Dr. Rafael Cabrera of Plastic Surgery Specialists of Boca Raton raised nearly $4,000 for the “Not my Daughter, Find a Cure Now” foundation. Plastic Surgery Specialists of Boca Raton offered their patients a discount on various cosmetic services throughout the month of October and then passed the savings on to the charity, which is hosted by local women. In addition, Dr. Cabrera had the pleasure to be one of the sponsors at the foundations inaugural event which took place on October 12th. This event was especially important to Dr. Cabrera. “We raised this money in honor of my mother in the hopes that my daughters will never have to face the challenges of this disease”, said Dr. Cabrera. Plastic Surgery Specialists is looking forward to offering this promotion again next October and wants to send a special thank you to all of their patients who participated.

A previous research study hinted that Botox injections in the stomach could possibly make a person feel fuller longer and promote weight loss. However, a more recent study which was conducted by Mayo Clinic shows that this is not the case.
Although Botox isn’t the answer for weight loss, it is a great choice for smoothing out those forehead lines, crow’s feet and the “11’s” between the eyebrows.
In addition, Botox can be used in the corners of the mouth to turn that frown upside down! Botox also has many medical indications, such as ocular muscle spasms, problems with eye coordination, severe armpit perspiration, migraine headaches, overactive bladder, and urinary incontinence related to nerve damage from conditions such as multiple sclerosis and spine injury.
As always, Botox and other injectable products should only be performed by Board Certified doctors who have the experience and credentials to deliver you safe and reliable results.
Dr. Rafael Cabrera is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is recognized as a “Master Injector”.
